Hobby Farm Holidays campsite is situated in a beautiful, countryside location in West Dorset’s marshwood vale.
There are numerous walks that can be taken along footpaths and bridleways as well as quiet, country lanes and we aim to include the most popular ones here.
A great walk from the farm if you’re up for something a bit more adventurous.
Heading out across the countryside and towards the coast, you can make your way up to Golden Cap — the highest point on the south coast.
It’s a bit of a climb, but the views from the top are well worth it, with stunning scenery stretching along the coastline and out to sea.
A lovely walk from the farm if you’re after big views without going too far.
Head out across the countryside towards Hardown Hill, where you’ll be rewarded with wide, open views across the hills and out towards the sea.
It’s a great one for a steady walk with a really good view at the top, especially on a clear day.
A great walk from the farm if you fancy heading down to the coast.
Following footpaths and quiet lanes, you can make your way towards Charmouth, where you’ll be rewarded with sea views and a lovely stretch of beach.
Perfect for a wander along the shore, fossil hunting, or stopping for a coffee before heading back.
A lovely walk from the farm if you’re happy to head a bit further afield. Following footpaths and quiet lanes, you can make your way towards Stonebarrow, where you’ll be rewarded with incredible views out over the Jurassic Coast.
Once you reach the top, you can wander along the coast path, take in the scenery, or simply enjoy the views before heading back. It’s a great option for a longer walk and well worth it on a clear day.
A lovely walk from the farm taking you through quiet countryside and along Hell Lane — a beautiful, narrow sunken path that’s well worth seeing.
From there, you can continue on towards Symondsbury, where you’ll find Symondsbury Kitchen — perfect for a coffee, breakfast or lunch.
If you’re feeling up for it, Colmer’s Hill is right there too, with great views at the top.
A brilliant walk if you want to make a day of it with a choice of routes. Either follow the route to Stonebarrow and follow directions from there or go to Ryall and down into Chideock and then head towards the coast, to Seatown.
You’ll be rewarded with sea views, fresh air, and the option to stop at The Anchor for food or a drink before heading back.
