Hobby Farm is a peaceful Adult Only West Dorset countryside and coastal retreat offering 14 non electric pitches for those seeking space, peace and stillness. We are just 4 miles from the nesrest beach at Charmouth.
Set within a working rural landscape, our campsite is designed for unhurried stays – where mornings start slowly, evenings end by the fire, and the noise of everyday life gently fades away.
Please only arrive at our campsite if you have pre-booked a pitch. We have no reception so, on arrival, enter our site via the large gate and follow the signs to the camping area. Choose your pitch …. and then start to unpack and unwind.

We don’t have a reception, so you can get straight to making yourself at home. All our camping pitches are unallocated, so simply choose your favourite spot in our field, when you arrive (first come, first served). You’re welcome to park right next to your pitch.
Our facilities area has three showers and three toilets, cleaned daily to keep everything fresh and comfortable for your stay.
There’s a washing-up station just outside the facilities block — just remember to bring your own washing-up liquid.
A shared fridge/freezer is available in the facilities area for anything you’d like to keep cool.
WiFi is available across the site. You’ll find the code on the whiteboard near the washing-up area.
Nothing beats a cosy evening by the fire. We have a small number of fire pits available to borrow (first come, first served), and wood and kindling can be purchased on sight (cash via an honesty box).
If you’re bringing your own BBQ, please keep it raised off the grass and at a safe distance from tents and other pitches.
Our pond is a lovely quiet spot to unwind during your stay. You’re very welcome to bring a rod and enjoy a bit of fishing (home to carp and pike) — just please return all fish.
There’s also a rowing boat if you fancy a gentle drift on the water, used at your own risk.
